In what it might consider a final that will go down in history of the event, the Master of the Ocean 2009 finished its activities days on the waves, crowning to the place of Cabarete Emmanuel Rondon like the absolute champion of the contest that groups Surfing, Windsurfing and Kitesurf.

The ocean has proprietor again. In the triathlon Master of the Ocean, the only event in its type, Emmanuel Rondon obtained a devastating punctuation in three disciplines, leading the “overall” in all his shares in this event that adds already seven years of history.

In the podium also they got up, in the second the rider Luciano Gonzalez and third place the international English female competitor Kirsty Jones (Kite world Champion woman wave riding and 2006 Master of the Ocean).

Luciano Gonzalez, 2 time Overall winner 2005/2006 and 3rd place of the Overall title, was on the point of rising once again with the maximum award, nevertheless Rondon managed to get his second consecutive title as Master of the Ocean.

Others that added good points in their heats (despite not being able to rise to the podium) were Oscar de la Cruz, Jan Marco Rivera(master of the ocean winner 2007 and kite world Champion in Waves) Stephane Rolland, Samuel Perez and Nino Rodriguez.

Two out-standing athletes were the rider Carolina Gutierrez the dominican wave queen in Surfing Windsurfing and Kitesurfing. Living and training in Las Terrenas she placed 2nd behind Kirty Johnes in the womas overal devision. The minor Nico Suriel, considered from already a “Future Master”category. In the event also the competitors are rewarded by every discipline.

This way, taking possession of the trophy with form of sail, the veteran Winston Martinez turned into the best competitor of the windsurfers and was crowned Master Wind 2009. Samuel Perez. took 2nd place before Fernando in 3rd. The Master Surf award was conquered by Manuel Selman, ( 3 time South American Junior Champion) who constituted a real spectacle, riding the waves with excellence developing a big exhibition that amazed the jury. Along with him, in the podium, not less impressive performances of Pedro Fernandez (master Surf 2008) and of Ivan Herrera were praised. Out-standing other was Brandon Sanford.

And in the vibrant category of kitesurfing, whose final, in opinion of the judges, was one of the best heats realized on the coasts of Cabarete.

The Master Kite 2009 is Luis Alberto, in 2nd Ariel Corniel (master Kite 2008)and 3rd Felix Antonio. It was a celebrating of all Kiteboarding has to offer in combination with waves. Nothing was leftto see for the spectators and judges and the airshow with the combination of wave riding skills made it a kite final to remember.
